Association of Ventricular Pacing Rates with Heart Failure Hospitalization and Persistent Atrial Fibrillation in Patients with Pacemaker Implantation
An integrated analysis of BRADYCARE I and BRADYCARE II showed that AV hysteresis pacing was associated with significantly lower 1-year heart failure hospitalization rates and a significantly lower incidence of persistent atrial fibrillation compared with standard pacing. Dr. Martin Arnold of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universitat, Germany, and colleagues reported in the May issue of EP Europace.
